The Story of Fle-Ko the Penguin
We're sure you are all wondering how little Fle-Ko wobbled his way into the fashion industry.
Well, please get comfy and grab yourself a little snack for this short story about our friends journey.
Our little buddy Fle-Ko hatched one chilly February evening along the Antarctic Peninsula, where he was raised by his loving parents like all the other penguins.
They were very caring and taught him everything a young penguin would need to know to survive in this harsh world. They taught him how to communicate with others, how to hunt, and even how to swim.
But the life of a penguin isn't usually anything more than just to hunt and swim. That to Fle-Ko just didn't seem right.
"There has to be more to life than this?" little Fle-Ko thought to himself as he was swimming alongside his kin bobbing for fish one evening.
After a few years of aimlessly swimming around the Peninsula, Fle-Ko decided he was going to do something different from the rest of the flock.
He had a longing for more purpose in his life.
That's when Fle-Ko finally decided that enough was enough..
"I'm going to do something with my life, I can't keep doing the same thing day in and day out!" He exclaimed to his siblings.
"I'm swimming North and making a life for myself!"
His family laughed at him, thinking that Fle-Ko was delusional for thinking something so extremely different from the norm. But little Fle-Ko never let that stop him.
Only a few hours later, Fle-Ko was flapping his way along the Southern Ocean headed to his new home in Uruguay!
Fle-Ko was determined, he didn't fear the dangers beneath him. What he feared was being normal, living a boring routine lifestyle like the rest.
Gasping for air our friend Fle-Ko finally drug his tiny exhausted little body on the shore in Punta Colorada, Uruguay!
"¿Estás bien, amigo mío?"
"(Are you alright friend!?)" A bystander exclaimed.
"Estoy bien"
"(I'm okay)" blurted from his beak.
Fle-Ko took a pause in confusion. Because you see, our little friend actually has a special gift he never knew about.
Fle-Ko has the ability to understand and speak with humans!
"¡Eso es bueno, amigo! Mi nombre es Louis, soy un diseñador de moda que vive muy cerca de aquí!"
("that's good friend! My name is Louis, I am a fashion designer who lives just local to here!") Louis explained to Fle-Ko.
Louis just blankly stared at Fle-Ko.. not blinking at all.
He stood there, looking him slowly up and down judging our little friend who was exhausted from his journey.
Almost a minute went by of Louis just awkwardly staring at Fle-Ko, he finally blinked before his eyes dried over.
"¡Eso es todo!" "¡Eres lo que he estado buscando!"
("That's it!")("You're what I've been looking for!") Louis yelled in excitement.
He then pulled out a pair of sunglasses from his pocket and placed them upon Fle-Ko's beak.
"Eres tú, amigo, vamos a llevar una sonrisa a las caras de todo el mundo."
(You're it dude, lets bring a smile to faces around the world)
